Color Film Gallery – Magritte on Film

ベルギーの画家ルネ・マグリットへのオマージュとして制作した、フィルムカメラによる多重露光のカラー写真。シュルレアリスト（超現実主義者）として活動したマグリットの作品は、私に多くの多重露光のヒントを与えてくれる。現実と現実を重ねるにもかかわらず、そこに意外な並列や不条理が生まれるのは、多重露光の魅力であり、シュルレアリスムの特徴の一つでもある。このシリーズは、『もしマグリットが写真家だったら…』と想像しながら、彼が描いてきたモチーフに私自身のアイデアを加えて制作。
Multiple exposure color photographs shot with a film camera, made as a tribute to the Belgian painter René Magritte. The work of Magritte, who worked as a Surrealist, gives me many hints for multiple exposures. The fact that unexpected parallels and absurdities are created in spite of the superimposition of reality on reality is the charm of multiple exposures and one of the characteristics of Surrealism. In this series of works, I imagine ‘If Magritte were a photographer…’ and add my own ideas to the motifs he has depicted.
