Black & White Film Gallery – Mission

クリストファー・ノーラン監督の映画『インセプション』は2010年の公開と同時に世界に衝撃を与えた。予測不可能な脚本と、今まで誰も見たことのない映像が多くの人々を圧倒し、私もその一人である。彼がアクションシーンでアナログな手法にこだわることは有名だが、そんな彼への憧れから、私もフィルムカメラと多重露光というアナログな手法で、偶然が生む奇跡を操りながら幻想的な作品を作り続けている。特にモノクロフィルムによってその表現を追求してきた。
Christopher Nolan’s film “Inception” shocked the world upon its release in 2010. Its unpredictable script and visuals that no one had ever seen before overwhelmed many people, and I am one of them. His insistence on analog techniques for action scenes is well known, and my admiration for him has led me to continue creating dreamlike works using analog techniques such as film cameras and multiple exposures, manipulating miracles created by chance. In particular, I have been pursuing such expression with black-and-white film.
