昨年ロモグラフィーから発売された35mmフィルムカメラ「LOMO MC-A」が、Film Product of the Year in the 2026 Amateur Photographer Awardsを受賞しました。このカメラのサンプル撮影とレビュー記事を担当させていただいた一人として、今回の受賞をとても嬉しく思います。
ロモグラフィーユーザーとしてレビューを寄稿したLOMO MC-A
LOMO MC-Aは、ロモグラフィーから新たにリリースされた35mmコンパクトカメラです。これまで同社の代表的なカメラであるLOMO LC-A+を長年愛用してきた私にとって、その新機種がどのような仕上がりなのか非常に興味深いものでした。
そんな中、ロモジャパンよりサンプル撮影とレビュー寄稿の機会をいただきました。世界中の写真家や写真誌、カメラショップがレビューを投稿する中で、私はロモグラフィーのヘビーユーザーとして、そして長年LOMO LC-A+で多重露光を続けてきた視点から執筆しています。私が寄稿したレビュー記事はこちらからご覧いただけます。
「これは本気のカメラだ」
レビュー記事でも触れていますが、初めて触れたときの印象は「これは本気のカメラだ」というものでした。しっかりとした撮影性能を備えながら、ロモグラフィーらしい多重露光機能やカラーフラッシュも搭載。遊び心と表現力、その両方を高いレベルで兼ね備えた一台です。
受賞、そしてこれから
そんなLOMO MC-Aが、今回Film Product of the Yearを受賞。本当におめでとうございます。微力ながらこのカメラのプロモーションに関わることができたことを、心から光栄に思います。また、受賞の様子はロモグラフィーのこちらのニュースレターでも紹介されており、そこでは私のサンプル写真とコメントも掲載していただいています。こちらもぜひご覧ください。
今回の出来事を通して、改めてロモグラフィーの魅力と、そのコミュニティの一員であることへの誇りを感じています。

LOMO MC-A Wins Film Product of the Year!
The 35mm film camera “LOMO MC-A,” released by Lomography last year, has won Film Product of the Year at the 2026 Amateur Photographer Awards.
As someone who had the opportunity to shoot sample images and contribute a review of this camera, I’m truly delighted to see it receive this recognition.
LOMO MC-A, for which I contributed a review as a Lomography user.
LOMO MC-A is a newly released 35mm compact camera from Lomography. As a long-time user of their iconic LOMO LC-A+, I was naturally curious about how this new model would perform.
At that time, I was honored to be invited by Lomo Japan to create sample images and write a review. While photographers, magazines, and camera shops from around the world have shared their perspectives, I approached it from the viewpoint of a dedicated Lomography user—especially someone who has spent years working with multiple exposures using the LOMO LC-A+. This is my review on Lomography site.
“This is a serious camera”
As I mentioned in my review, my first impression was: “This is a serious camera.” It delivers solid photographic performance, while also featuring the signature Lomography elements such as multiple exposure functionality and a built-in color flash. It’s a camera that beautifully balances playfulness and expressive potential.
The Award—and What It Means
And now, LOMO MC-A has been awarded Film Product of the Year. Congratulations! It is a great honor for me to have been involved, even in a small way, in promoting this remarkable camera.
The award has also been featured in Lomography’s newsletter, where my sample images and comments have been included. I hope you’ll take a look.
This experience has once again reminded me of the unique appeal of Lomography, and I feel proud to be part of its community.
